The Nephrology Clinic’s Medical Staff


Kevin Muelken, M.D. Dr. Muelken received his medical degree and completed his Nephrology fellowship at the University of Minnesota. He joined the practice in 2003. Dr. Muelken and his family enjoy the outdoors and spend time skiing and hiking.

Mark Teruel, M.D. Dr. Teruel and his family moved to Fort Collins and joined The Nephrology Clinic in August 2005. He received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed his nephrology fellowship at the University of Vermont. Dr. Teruel takes advantage of the wonderful outdoor opportunities in Colorado and enjoys skiing, biking, and running.

Jason Merritt, M.D. Dr. Merritt joined the practice in 2007 after practicing in Virginia for a few years. He graduated from Yale University School of Medicine and completed his nephrology fellowship at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Dr. Merritt enjoys skiing and traveling.

Nilesh Ahuja, M.D. Dr. Ahuja attended medical school in Syracuse New York and completed his nephrology fellowship at the University of Colorado in Denver. He enjoys snowboarding, kayaking, biking and playing soccer. Dr. Ahuja joined the practice in 2012.

Ashwin Ganta, M.D. Dr. Ganta completed his nephrology fellowship at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He moved with his family to Fort Collins in August 2016 after 3 years of practice in Georgia. Dr. Ganta and his family enjoy travel and the culinary arts.

Sara Burgardt, M.D. Dr. Burgardt completed her nephrology fellowship in June 2016 at the University of North Carolina Hospitals at Chapel Hill. She joined The Nephrology Clinic in August 2017. Dr. Burgardt and her family enjoy playing in the beautiful Colorado outdoors. She especially loves running, hiking and skiing.

Varsha Pathak, M.D. Dr. Pathak joined the practice in 2017 after practicing in Pennsylvania for 3 years. She completed her nephrology fellowship at Temple University in Philadelphia. Dr. Pathak enjoys hiking, camping and travel.

Arjun Sharma, M.D. Dr. Sharma joined the practice in 2019 after practicing in Virginia for 3 years. Dr. Sharma attended medical school in Connecticut and completed his nephrology fellowship at the University of Washington school of Medicine. Dr. Sharma enjoys playing his saxophone, playing tennis, reading and spending time with his family. 

Priyanka Govindan, M.D. Dr. Govindan joined the practice in 2019 after practicing in Virginia for 3 years. She completed her nephrology fellowship at the University of Washington School of Medicine. Dr. Govindan enjoys Zumba, meditation, cooking, painting and spending time with her family.

Roshni Radhakrishna, M.D. Dr. Radhakrishna completed her nephrology fellowship in June 2018 at the University of North Carolina Hospitals at Chapel Hill. She worked for 3 years as a clinical assistant professor in nephrology before joining The Nephrology Clinic. Dr. Radhakrishna enjoys spending time outdoors with her family.

Pam Holler, NP-C  Pam joined the practice in May 2005. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Regis University and completed her master’s degree at the University of Northern Colorado. Pam has years of experience working with patients with kidney disease. She and her husband enjoy all kinds of outdoor activities. 

Blake Hill, PA-C  Blake joined The Nephrology Clinic in 2013. He has practiced as a Certified Physician Assistant since graduation in 2009. Blake enjoys fishing, the martial arts, and spending time with his family pursuing a variety of adventures.

Erin Weber, FNP Erin joined the practice in March 2019 and has worked as a charge nurse as well as an infusion nurse prior to joining our medical staff. Erin attended the University of Wyoming for her Bachelor of Science Nursing, Regis University for her Masters of Science Nursing as well as Graceland University for Post Master’s Certificate. Erin enjoys farm life, cooking and spending time with her family traveling.

Kenneth Daves Jr., NP-C  Kenneth joined The Nephrology Clinic in 2022. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Mississippi University for Women and Men and Master’s Degree from the University of Northern Colorado. Ken worked as a charge nurse in dialysis prior to joining our medical staff.
