Pharmacy and Laboratory Information

Medications

The medication your physician prescribes is an essential part of your medical care. Take your medication as directed by your doctor. Read the label carefully and review the possible side effects of the drug. Call our office if you have concerns about your medications.

You will be asked to provide a current list of your medications each time you check in for an appointment.

How do I get my Prescription Refilled?

Prescription refills take up to 48 hours to be completed. Do not wait until you are entirely out of your medication to ask for a refill. If you have not been seen in our office for more than a year, the doctor may not refill your medication without scheduling an appointment.

Please request medication refills directly from your pharmacist. We do not accept refill requests from patients. This is to prevent errors with your medication. Please have your pharmacist call us at 970-493-7733 or fax your refill request to 970-493-2682. If you cannot reach your pharmacist, please call our office.

Laboratory Orders and Diagnostic Testing

Your doctor will routinely order blood work to monitor your medical condition. He may also ask you to have other diagnostic tests completed. It is essential to complete the tests ordered by your doctor before your appointment and in enough time for the results to be reviewed and recorded in your medical record!

You will be given an order for tests by your doctor that can be taken to the laboratory of your choice or the one designated by your health insurance company. All test results are reviewed by your physician. You will be contacted by our office if any concerns are identified that require changes to your plan of care.

Your physician will discuss your test results at your next appointment.
